New Convert 31M, YSA ward question
So, I recently joined the LDS church around 4 weeks ago. I met two awesome sister missionaries and later got baptized. So far, they've been really kind and have welcomed me with open arms. I've gotten a lot of rides because I don't have a car, but they've been so kind to give them to me in the first place.
I think next up is my ordination and the temple recommend, along with the whole Aaronic priesthood stuff. I've talked with the bishop, and I think I'll be able to get it done this week.
Lately, I've been noticing how my two sister missionaries keep bringing up the YSA ward. I'm still trying to learn about stuff, but is this the place for Young Single Adults? I think the range was 18-30, but they changed it to 18- 35, I think?
I think right now, I don't know if where I'm at is considered a family ward, but it's a lot of old people, couples, kids, and teens here. The only ones near my age are the 20-ish-year-old missionaries.
Does this mean I should start attending a YSA ward and stay there, rather than this one?
Also, to be honest, I don't think I'm anywhere near ready to start dating or getting married. So, I don't know if it would be wise to go to a YSA ward. I think my sisters told me they have activities for 30-year-olds, but I have no clue how these places operate. I'd be totally down to make new friends and join activities at least.
I think for now, I can at least visit and see what it's like. Can anyone tell me what these places are like or have experience with them? Will my age be a problem? Thanks.
