Verge.io Network Requirements

We're a Vmware shop with servers plus shared FC storage. As with others we're about to be killed with VMware costs and are looking to alternatives. Verge.io came up. With that I have questions around networking. Apologies if these are dumb questions.

There are concerns with how this will work with our existing shared FC storage. Specifically around performance. I'm told that while servers will still have backend FC connectivity to the storage it's no longer shared in this world of hyper/ultra convergence and luns will isolate to each server node and then VSAN over Ethernet is how it will all be used. There's concerns of how fast this Ethernet needs to be to avoid a massive loss in performance. I think our FC is 32 gbps? Are we going to need 40 gbps Ethernet to make this work well?

I also have systems with external SAS attached storage. Given SAS is typically 12 gbps in the back end are we going to need 25 gbps Ethernet here?

We're primarily only 10gbps in our best case and 1gbps in other remote sites.

This Ethernet requirement is scaring a lot of people. I don't know enough about Verge (or hci/uci) in general so am not sure what to expect.
