Out of town forgot to extend shipping dates

Help! Had to go to a funeral last minute out of town and totally forgot to extend my ship out dates. I had an order come through last night- do I message the buyer and ask if it’s ok if I can extend the mail out date by two days?

What’s the protocol? I feel like a dope for forgetting
