From a corporate finance operations role to a fully remote business research position?
I’m 22 and currently working in Accounts Receivable / Collections in a corporate environment (hybrid setup).
I’ve received an offer for a fully remote Business Researcher role with a European company under a contractor agreement. The salary is higher, but I’d be giving up the stability and benefits that come with a traditional employment contract.
I’m curious to hear from people who have made a similar move:
● How was the transition from finance operations to business research?
● Did you find the work more interesting or more repetitive?
● Did working remotely improve your quality of life?
● Looking back, was it a good career move?
I’d appreciate any honest feedback, especially from those who started early in their careers.
Thanks!
