My best friend was making out with my boyfriend. Am I overreacting?
I genuinely don't know if I'm being dramatic or if this is as messed up as it feels.
A few nights ago, I walked in on my boyfriend and my best friend making out. Not a "friendly drunk kiss," not a misunderstanding, full on making out like they forgot the rest of the world existed. The worst part? These are the two people I trusted most.
My boyfriend immediately started apologizing and saying it "didn't mean anything." My best friend cried and said she made a mistake and doesn't want to lose our friendship. Apparently it was a one time thing, but honestly, I don't know what to believe anymore.
What gets me is that if they cared about me, how did they both end up crossing that line in the first place?
Would you ever forgive a best friend after this?
I'm angry, hurt, embarrassed, and honestly questioning whether either of them ever respected me.
Need brutally honest opinions.
