Are museum passes in Istanbul worth it??

I will visit Istanbul in some weeks and I was wondering if the museum passes like Istanbul E-Pass or Tourist Pass are worth it or if it is better to buy tickets by separate.

I will be going with a friend for 6 days and both of us are very passionate about culture and history, so we plan to visit many sites. The thing that worries me is that in many tourist attractions, these passes grant you a group guided tour with a strict schedule, so I am concerned that we won't be able to see these places through and through.

Also, we are not interested in many activities of these passes such as photo sessions with costumes or clubs.

If anyone here is from Istanbul, has traveled there or has used these passes, I would highly appreciate any advice that I could be given.
