I Paid Elon Musk’s AI Company $60 and Got Nothing. 3 Days Later, Still No Response.
I bought a 3-month SuperGrok subscription on two accounts.
Total: $60.
The money disappeared instantly.
The service didn’t.
At first I thought maybe it was a website error.
Maybe a processing issue.
Maybe a simple mistake.
So I waited.
Then I sent inquiries.
I sent emails.
I submitted reports.
Then I did it again.
And again.
Dozens of times.
Now it has been 3 days.
Not a single reply.
And honestly, at this point the missing service itself isn’t even what makes me the angriest anymore.
What makes me angry is this process.
Why am I the one spending time?
Why am I the one collecting evidence?
Why am I the one contacting banks and payment processors?
Why is the person who already lost money and time also the one expected to do all the work?
I even asked for professional advice.
And I was told that if I’m unlucky, there is a possibility I could end up with neither the money nor the service.
I was also told that even if the service eventually gets activated, the subscription period could still be counted starting from the payment date instead of the activation date.
Recently xAI also reduced usage by around 90% without saying anything.
I think from their perspective that’s something they can do because it directly affects profit.
(Still pissed me off.)
But this situation is different.
You take payment.
You provide nothing.
You don’t respond.
And the customer handles the aftermath.
This isn’t something I’d expect even from a small company.
This is Elon Musk’s AI company.
They stand next to GPT, Gemini and Claude as one of the major AI companies.
But the way they’ve treated customers has genuinely been one of the worst customer experiences I’ve had.
Overpromising.
Bait products.
Reducing usage without warning.
And now people pay and receive nothing.
xAI’s behavior turned someone passive like me into someone actively researching institutions, disputes and accountability.
Has anyone else experienced something similar?
I’m going to keep pushing and see whether they can actually be held responsible.
At this point, from my perspective, this doesn’t feel like a company making money through good products.
It feels like a company taking money through empty promises, misleading expectations,
and honestly, at times something that feels no different from being robbed.
I want this situation to be talked about.
And I want people to be careful.
Because you might end up going through the same thing.
