UE5: AI Enemys can't detect player if he is on the roof of a building

Hey there.

I have a basic Ai Enemy logic that has the enemy get the player as target and then moves to him via move to to attack him.

It works great so far, but if the player is somehow far away the move to logic is being called every frame with failure.

In my particular case I have zombies all around my level. I'm standing on the roof of a two-story building, and the zombies spawning on the ground floor can see the player but can't find their way to him. Enemies further away, out on the street, have no trouble finding the player. If the player moves a little toward the enemies, at a certain point the path is suddenly found again. I have no idea what could be causing this. The navmesh seems fine, and the path isn’t interrupted anywhere. I’ve already tested adding a delay at the beginning in the logic, but it didn’t work. The acceptance radius is large enough for other, more distant enemies to find the player, so that shouldn’t be the issue. The enemies spawn correctly in the navmesh. Does anyone have any ideas about this?

Best regards!
