Hey everyone,

Following up on my previous posts regarding the persistent cold boot loops and hardware failures on my HP laptop. I wish I had good news, but I’ve officially hit an absolute technical dead end with HP India.

The 4th formal repair attempt on June 9th has officially FAILED.

Despite letting them change major components in earlier visits and running a final round of forced firmware patches this week, the machine is still exhibiting the exact same boot failure. It is now an undeniable paperweight.

Here is where the corporate bullying and gaslighting gets crazy:

Before agreeing to this 4th attempt, I formally asked HP Support (handled by an escalation executive named Priya Das) to share the RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for the issue and explain why all their previous major repairs had failed. Instead of providing answers, she completely dodged the RCA question and resorted to straight-up threats.

She explicitly told me that if I didn't allow this 4th repair attempt, she would forcefully close my ticket on her desk, claiming they had an internal company deadline of June 10th. She used the deadline as a weapon to force an unvetted 4th repair on my premium machine.

And the irony? During the previous visit on May 30th, the field engineer actually connected with their backend engineering team (the "Focal Head"). After analyzing the logs in real-time, their own Focal Head explicitly admitted that standard field repairs/settings changes wouldn't solve the issue and requested to seize my laptop to take it to an HP R&D lab for experimental diagnostics.

Yet, Priya Das still threatened me to force that June 9th blind patch anyway—just to buy time and protect her internal June 10th deadline. Now that it has failed, she has gone completely silent and is hiding behind "waiting for internal technical reports" from the very same Focal team that already gave up two weeks ago.

Where things stand right now:

The NCH Route: I have officially updated my National Consumer Helpline (NCH) grievance with the failure logs of this 4th attempt. We are currently on Day 18 of the NCH clock.

The Forced Expense: Because I am a software engineer and a laptop is my primary livelihood, I couldn't afford to sit around waiting for HP's internal departments to email each other. I’ve been forced to go out and buy a completely new secondary laptop just to keep working.

The Legal Plan: My final email deadline to them expires today (June 13th). If I don't get a concrete Whole Unit Replacement (WUR) confirmation by tonight, I am taking the legal plunge on Monday morning.

I am filing a formal product liability case via e-Jagriti (Consumer Court). Because they dragged this out over 4 failed repairs and used high-handed intimidation tactics, I’ll be praying for a full refund/replacement of the HP unit plus the recovery of the cost of the secondary laptop I was forced to purchase due to their gross deficiency of service.

Has anyone here successfully recovered consequential damages (like the cost of alternative equipment) after a company threatened to close a ticket?

Will keep you guys updated when the court notice hits them. Never buying an HP machine again.\[my previous post\](https://www.reddit.com/r/GadgetsIndia/s/RfZi0f1BX2

[UPDATE] My HP laptop nightmare: Refused an RCA, threatened with ticket closure, 4th repair has failed.
