Code Vessel by Leann Belle

Hi!

I recently received an ARC of this book due to a post or comment on this sub from the author (can't find it now) and after reading it I wanted to do a full review because ohmylanta.

This book is SO good. The concept is similar to a mashup of Mulan and Ender's Game, with a sprinkle of the Handmaid's Tale. Just throw in some mech suits. RH is a great genre but I wish we had more sci-fi options and this is such a great addition. Fantastic world building that feels fleshed out but not over explained. Interesting concepts that are unique but still feel intuitive. MMCs that are vastly different and yet drawn together by a shared humanity. Fantastic twists and intriguing plot holes that you know are gonna come back with a vengeance. This book has so much going for it and the thing I'm maddest about is that I have to wait for the next one (I want it now!). I will say that this book is a chonker that clocks in at around 700 pages and it is definitely a slow burn (one orgasm only), but I think that it remains compelling and the chemistry was enough to keep me riveted. All in all I highly recommend and it should be releasing June 21st! Enjoy!
