Need Advice

23M. Had a traumatic brain injury at 18 and suffered 3 seizures afterwards. I’ve been on Keppra 2000mg daily ever since and haven’t had any further seizures.
I’m now 23. My EEG is clear, but I’ve been diagnosed with post-traumatic anxiety, mainly because I’m terrified of having another seizure.

The anxiety has improved a lot over the years, but it’s still something I deal with.
The issue is that I really don’t want to stay on Keppra forever if I don’t have to. Driving is a huge part of my independence now, and the thought of losing my licence again is one of my biggest fears.

As I see it, I have 3 options:
Come off Keppra completely and stop driving for around 12–18 months while seeing what happens.
Start Lamotrigine alongside Keppra, wait until I’m established on it, then come off Keppra and continue driving.
Stay on Keppra and accept that it’s working, even if I’d rather not be on medication long-term.

Your thoughts and opinions?

I am now amongst general seizure risk according to my neuro however when coming off it goes up quite abit im so scared and just don’t know. I want to know peoples stories and what they did…

Thank you
