I'm not sure what to play anymore.

Discussion

Let's have an open discussion!

I've been struggling. I both want to play games while also not being interested in any of the games I own (which is many).

Anyone have some recommendations? Or can anyone relate?

PC specs for those interested in making recommendations:

Desktop (Custom) -

  • CPU: Ryzen 7 7700
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Super
  • RAM: 32 GB @ 6000 MT/s
  • Storage: 1 TB NVMe
  • OS: Windows 11 (750 GB partition), Ubuntu (250 GB partition)

Laptop (Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S) -

  • CPU: Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU
  • RAM: 32 GB @ 6400 MT/s
  • Storage: 1 TB NVMe
  • OS: Windows 11 (850 GB partition; stripped & hardened), Kali Linux (150 GB partition)

I'm considering buying an external SSD, but unsure about what model I should go with. Mainly so I can swap between machines without having to download games on both. Not sure how viable that is, though.

I don't really game much on the laptop, admittedly. I mainly use it for school and pentesting/cybersecurity practice. That said, it is a capable machine and has comparable performance to my desktop (if not faster in some scenarios). I do game on it at works sometimes when things are slow.
