Navigation/gps not working correctly.

Hey everyone

I just picked up my brand new G6 from the dealership this monday (08/06/2026) and on my way home I was getting the same “The driving assistant cannot be used with the current speed limit” alert the navigation system also kept redirecting me. The map seemed to be turned the wrong way as if I was driving the opposite way of what I was, so I turned it off and used my phone. I figured that I just had to go home and play around with the settings or download an update. However after setting up the car the alerts did not go away and I kept getting the same alert even at low speeds (10-15km/h). The acc, lcc and 360 view works fine, actually there are no problems with any of the other systems.

I have contacted the dealership with the issue, but I have not heard back from them yet. So instead of sitting around waiting I contacted customer support where I was told to do a soft reset and drive in circles. First clockwise then counter clockwise. They also told me to find a road with a lot of visible speed limit signs where I could keep a steady speed of 40-60 km/h so the GPS could recalibrate.

I did all this but I still get the same “The driving assistant cannot be used with the current speed limit” alert and the GPS is still not working right. When the car is parked it seems to be positioned the other way on the map.

Is this a known issue or do have any of you had this problem with your GPS/navigation?

Hopefully it can be fixed with an update or something like that.

Also I have the language set to my native language, so the alert message might not be the exact wording in english.
