filter set-ups and water treatment?

Ive been plunging at a wellness spa down the street for a while. Decided to get my own and just ordered a frozin 400 so I am completely new to the maintenance side now. Tried to find the answers before I posted.

I don’t plan on running a chiller right out of the gate, my plunge won’t be super close to an outlet to run a chiller 24/7 (at least for now). I have a big freezer chest, so I was going to use the big silicone ice treys.

Does anyone just have a filtration system set up without a chiller? I can run a long extension cord to run the filter once or twice a week. Can I do just the filtration system plus a water treatment to avoid having to drain the water often? Would this work?

Any recommendations for water treatments? Not really stoked on the idea of chlorine unless someone can simplify it for me.

 I saw I can do a little bit of peroxide and then buy test strips? Is this the best go to method?
