Externships

Can someone explain how externships work? Like you’re able to get academic credit but how much? And does that just count towards our general credits required or?

And let’s say you secure said internship, how many hours does it need to be to qualify for academic credit?

Just not sure about the process, if someone could explain, that would be great!
