I first saw this concept as a SNL joke. In the joke, you could select scents to emit in place of a fart. I remember a scene where someone asks Kevin Nealon if his car is new, followed by a sly smile.

Dang it! I really did think that no one had invented these yet and I was going to make millions. I was going to call them Fart Filters.
