Venting. Really? How very dare
I went to a bar with some girlfriends last night and this man came up to me and knew my name. Turns out we are matched on Hinge but haven't arranged a date yet. We live very close to each other so he's been saying things like "Let me know when you're going to <insert local restaurant bar> next and I'll come by." And I'm just like Ehhhh, I don't want you to drop by when I'm there with my friends. That's not a great first date. There's been virtually no conversation and I've been considering unmatching.
So anyway at first he seemed cool and charming in person. After 10ish minutes of conversation I told him I wanted to get back to hanging with my girlfriends and we should meet up another day. He said cool and went to his friends. But as the night went on, he ended up only hanging with my girlfriends and I and if another man talked to me he was telling me what a bad guy the other man was or sometimes telling me he was going to kick that guy's ass for touching me. So I put on the brakes and told him to chill because people are here having fun and socializing.
He hits me with "But we're on a date!" No sir we are not. He insists that this is a date and he expects us to kiss when we leave. I told him I 100% will not be kissing him and this is not a date. He said "Can't you tell I'm a nice guy?" No, I can't as I don't know you at all. He was shocked saying we've been together all night, how can I not know him.
I'm so disproportionately livid about this. I was aroused to be having a fun night with my girlfriends but we couldn't get away from him. Obviously I unmatched him. But I am an almost 48 year old woman that doesn't need anyone, especially someone I don't know and had no intention of spending time with, telling me who to talk to and what to do with my own lips. But he's a NICE GUY! Mmmhmmm, sure.
