Does 2nd year marks matter for university admission?

Please help a brother out

I got 47% marks in my first year and one supply in physics. After giving my physics final exam, I plan to improve my first-year marks in second-year exams to meet the entry test criteria of 50%-60%

But if I take admission next year after my second-year results and improve my first-year subjects, will the universities still only check my first-year marks, or will they check my whole results from the first and second years because now I will have both results?
