Was Dess a child when she disappeared?

I'm replaying Deltarune to get all recruits and shadow crystals before Chapter 5 releases, and it just occurred to me Dess was likely a child when she disappeared

In chapter 2, when Berdly talks about the spelling bee where Noelle was unable to spell "December", likely due to Dess' disappearance being very recent, the flashback shows they were really young. Like, about 8-10 year old

I don't think we have confirmed ages for Kris, Susie, Noelle and Berdly, but they seem to be about 16 so let's go with this for the sake of this post. And Asriel going to college seems like a very recent event, so he's probably around 18-19, and he is in Dess' age range

With all that in mind, if Dess disappeared when Noelle was about 8-10, then Dess and Asriel were around 10-13

I guess that tracks with the phrase "Lost where the forest would grow, the children followed the pointed tail. The poor children", but i really had it in my mind Dess disappeared as a teenager, around 16 or so
