Skits not activating in New Game+ (Xillia Remastered)

Anybody else run into this problem? I started my Milla playthrough today (finished my Jude playthrough in Feb this year) and I noticed that the skits at Laforte in the beginning aren't popping up AT ALL. During my playthrough with Jude, there were times when skits took a while to appear but they did eventually so I'm not sure what's wrong now. l

I use Krystal109's walkthrough on GameFAQs to tell me what skits I should be getting and rn, so far, four skits haven't activated. At this point I'm not sure if its the framerate problem or a whole other bug but if its framerate, I'm not sure if I can bring it down to 30fps since I play on PS5.

Also before anyone asks, I DID NOT activate "Unlock All Skits" at the grade shop. the only skits I have on record are the ones I collected in Jude's playthrough. they're all on the records with the "New" label on them, and I also made it a point of not touching that because I was afraid the game might think I've already seen the skit for this second playthrough and not appear at all.

That said, anyone run into this issue and somehow managed to fix it? I've tried everything from waiting to reloading a save file to re entering the room but still no dice. This is kinda frustrating.
