I would like some help with troubleshooting from others who are more experienced. If I am missing any info please let me know. I want to be fully transparent so I can fix this.

I am very new to isopods and have had my A. Klugii “Dubrovnik” for around 2 months now. Since getting them they have been active and have seemed to be doing well.

One pod came out of hiding and had a stuck shed. They were able to molt their bottom half perfectly but I noticed they struggled with the top half.

I left them alone and they were able to get it off but there is still some stuck shed. It is getting around and eating without issue.

Photo 1 is of the isopod with stuck shed.

Photo 2 is after they were able to remove it. You can still see some stuck shed on it.

Photo 3-4 is of my enclosure.

Photo 5 is the lid. It is window screen, a terrarium screen lid, and then a glass lid.

I’m not sure if I have too much moisture or not enough. It was difficult getting a good photo showing the moisture gradient. Maybe I don’t have enough airflow? I do open the lid daily for them. Maybe it’s too much?

I water by pouring down the sides. I do not mist. I do not have a set watering schedule. I go by looks/feel. Maybe I should be doing something different?

They do spend equal time on the dry side as they do the moist side.

I just need some help so I can fix it now and make sure this doesn’t keep happening.
