Life after stone removal
Hello everybody. I’m scheduled for stone removal with Dr. S very soon and have very much appreciated learning from everyone’s experiences and research in this group.
I’m interested in hearing from those who have already undergone stone removal (by whatever means, so long as it is gallbladder preserving) about the broad health changes you have noticed in the weeks, months, and years that follow. I mean those changes beyond the obvious gallbladder pain and attacks which presumably (hopefully!) resolve as functionality is restored. I’m thinking more along the lines of general digestion, wellbeing, and even other health issues (allergies, hormones, skin issues, etc.?), maybe especially those you did not even consciously connect to the gallbladder dysfunction.
With improved digestive ability and bile flow, one would imagine there might be a whole cascade of improvements in the liver’s detoxification and hormone regulation, thyroid function, nutrient absorption, etc. What have you all noticed so far?
