My Recent Experience on Hinge

I (M26) have noticed a recent trend on Hinge that is really bothering me.

I’m a decent looking guy in a big city and recently updated my profile and did a fresh start a month ago. I usually get 1 like and 1-2 matches per week which is a lot better than before I updated my profile.

My issue is converting matches into decent conversations. Generally, we match, exchange a couple messages and then I get ghosted. After about a week of silence I tend to unmatch them just to protect my mental health. I don’t think the conversation is boring at all, we barely get to know anything about each other at all before I get ghosted.

Currently, there is this one girl I’ve matched with and we exchanged a couple messages on Thursday. I’m pretty excited about this one. Yesterday morning I respond to one of her messages and I am yet to hear from her. I know it’s been only about 24 hours but it’s really weighing on me. Would it be appropriate to send another message later this weekend if I don’t hear from her?
