Not turning on

Hello,

I used my Shark Power Detect cordless vac this morning and not it won't turn on at all. I dont see any blinking lights and the screen is completely black. Is this just a battery issue?

Its the Shark with the auto cleaning stand so it sits there most of the time on the charger, I figured the charger would have a shut off if the battery is fully charged but maybe power continues and the battery life is completely gone is my only assumption, but im probably wrong.
