Why does Brian/hoodie want Tim to "become" Masky?

I've seen some theories, and I can understand why Brian seems to dislike Tim (the whole thing about him being the Operator's source, etc.), however, I still have some questions, if he dislikes or even hate him, why does he steal Tim's medication that seems to keeps Masky away, or why does he try to give him the mask? Why does he want Tim to become Masky?

I would love to see someone explaining or debating this, thank you already for your attention!
