i’ve not yet posted on this sub but i’ve been lurking since the end of s4. i hadn’t been a sydcarmy truther until that damn lamb dish after the wedding. it was too much at that point. now it’s all i think about.

anyways, i’ve been thinking about the trailer and what it means. i have a few thoughts ive been keeping in my notes app. what are yall thinking? i tagged it for spoilers because one post by u/lets-terraform-earth is featured, and they also tagged spoilers.

my notes:

gary: sherri says love in the afternoon (1957) is her favorite movie (which may or may not be true). richie is caught behind the train leaving gary, and is later than 5:15 to get home to tiff.

across the show: richie mentions 3:10 to yuma (1957). he’s trapped, disturbed by the chaos, running from something, etc.

across the show: *there are approximately 1 million shots of a train.*

a combination of both love in the afternoon and 3:10 to yuma, as suggested on reddit by u/lets-terraform-earth, possibly culminates, based on the plots of the movie released the same year, in running *towards* a train. i can’t stop thinking about this post. like i literally can’t. i know the actual plot of both movies is likely much more relevant, as debated on the sub, but i can’t help but be optimistic that all of this train stuff with end in a sydcarmy moment.

scallop: we get the shot of carmy LEAVING the train station and running TOWARDS claire.

during the entire show: the only two people we see on a TRAIN are carmy and sydney. we see tina on a bus, but only carmy and sydney on the train.

season 5: carmy runs TOWARDS the train FOR sydney. based on literally EVERYTHING in the show.

however they could fuck with us and it’s jess and richie idfk

THE TRAILER: “The Last Chance” over a train
