Trout fishing in pike waters

What do you recommend for a setup for targetting trout in pike infested waters?

I mostly use kastmasters and inline spinners with a fluoro lead on 8lb braid. But for my lighter lures getting a good cast is a challenge. I'm thinking of going to 4lb braid or something instead. I just don't want lines snapping if and when I get the inevitable pike instead of the elusive trout.
