Versa 4 won't pair

Since the switch over to new app, my fitbit versa 4 is having trouble pairing.

The first episode happened about a week after, and I was able to fix it by unpairing the device, uninstalling the app. Restarting my phone and restarting my fitbit. And reinstalling, the app and repairing the device.

All was well until monday When it began to flash the fit bit logo on the pebble of my device. This is what it had done a week prior so I tried everything I tried before to no luck.

Since then i've also tried clearing the cache data and bluetooth and no luck. Making sure no other bluetooth devices were around no luck,

I've tried connecting it to my daughter's phone and no luck.

We get as far as the display on the watch, showing the 4 number pin to enter into the app. But then it says there's been a problem. It actively tries to connect with my phone. Most of the day. I have it charging in the kitchen and every time I walk into the kitchen, it tries to pair with my phone. But we can't get any further than the four digit code.

I spent an hour chatting with customer service today and we tried many different things But it was all stuff I tried before. It's not under warranty anymore. So they offered me a 35% discount on a new device. However, I said I didn't have these issues before why am I having them now? Is google trying to actively fix and repair the handshake between the app and our devices?

He said he didn't know. And although he was a really nice guy, the best he could do was offer me a discount.

Is anyone else experiencing these problems And have you tried anything that I haven't tried that worked? I really appreciate any insight.Anyone can offer.

I'm a loyal fitbit user For more than fifteen years and had planned to upgrade around christmas time. I think I'll look into garmin if I can't get this fixed. The trust is gone.
