I got humbled hard today lol

I am an A2 level - maybe intermediate B1 in super familiar topics.

Tried a new tutor today and she shared screen to a part of the website that I don’t have access to - it has all the feedback from my previous lessons.

In the previous lesson I used a subjunctive phrase and the tutor noted it n my file that I wanted to learn subjunctive - which isn’t completely accurate bc I still need a ton of practice with past tense. But it’s cool

Before continuing I want to acknowledge this is 100% my fault bc I was not clear with my expectations or my level.

So in the session with the new tutor we make small take and then go directly into past subjunctive concepts using an activity - I was super lost… but was trying to push though and hang with the lesson. The tutor was flying though the lesson (again my fault bc I didn’t speaker up). At the end of the lesson I did give the feedback that I was lost and felt the lesson was too advanced and wanted to practice past tenses and more intermediate concepts. She said she would note in my file which I was grateful for.

Not gonna lie after the lesson I had this feeling like quitting lol but quickly retreated to my comfort zone ( Spanish boost w/Martin) to remind myself I’ve made some progress.

Has anyone else be humbled like this? How did you respond?

Also side note - with the changes going on with the site right now my coach told me there is a lack of visibility between tutor/students with the lesson plans and notes.

Is this going to improve in the future? Will I be able to see the feedback from my lessons?
