Clock Capacitor removal from market place Xbox

Hello!! I just bought an original xbox manufactured in 2001 so I am assuming its a 1.0. I want to remove the clock Capacitor if it has not been done already (have not opened it yet). Do I need to be worried about clock loop? Or is this only for soft modded consoles?
