Can you travel inside a domain expansion/innate domain?

Sorry if what i am asking is stupid as hell

I know maintaining a domain expansion for long enough to travel will definitely injure the sorcerer but lets just assume they fan keep it on indefinitely.

Could sorceres go to different parts of their domain? Or does the space shift around with the user and they are basically incapable of going anywhere?
