Anyone using a digital wall calendar at home? Thoughts?

Cleaning, Organizing, Decluttering

TL;DR: I'm considering getting a digital home calendar setup (Skylight, Hearth, Dakboard..) to centralize appointments, chores, reminders, etc. but I'm afraid of the ADHD-tax. Any opinion?

Hello,

As usual, I'm trying to find new ways to keep my life and my home organized. I tried a very minimalist bullet journal set up and it worked for almost a year (I was so proud), but it totally failed once I finished uni. Now I'm using the calendar app on my phone to remind me of tasks, but I need to decide which day to set the reminder for and, more importantly, I often forget to look at the calendar or miss the notification... Usually, I create three or more similar events on different days, hoping that I'll end up doing the task on one of those occasions. But 1/ my calendar is packed and stressful to look at, and 2/ I still end up forgetting to push back some tasks and they slip through the cracks. Physical lists of "things to do later when I have the time" are useless for me because I lose them and I tried using multiple apps, but I last maybe a week before giving them up.

I need something where I can centralize everything. I want to add my appointments and tasks that I already know have to happen on a specific date, but also have a list of "If/when you have time you should do that" visible on the side. I also want to set up recurring reminders for things like watering the plants or changing the sheets. It needs to be linked to my phone so I can add stuff whenever I need to. And I want reminders that are loud enough and in my face enough that I won't just ignore them. That's why I've been thinking about getting some kind of digital home calendar setup (like Skylight, Hearth, Cozyla, Dakboard..)

But of course I'm worried that I'll buy something, use it for two weeks, and then never touch it again. So I'd really like to hear from people who have tried this kind of setup. Did it work? Would you recommend?

Thanks in advance 🙏🏻
