Firefighting Assistance Mod

If no such mod exists then this is a suggestion.

Is there a mod which lets ships help other ships help fight fires? I was thinking of a mod that would allow you to park a destroyer alongside another ship and fight deck fires which can free up damage control parties to fight fires below deck. It shouldn’t be easy to do, you will have to parallel park the ships together without them crashing into each other and they should only be allowed to target fires above deck.

Is it easy to mod this game? I’m thinking of having a crack at it. I’m really enjoying the game but the progress of the base game seems slow/stagnant.
