Feeling like I don't "really" have epilepsy.
Long story short...recently diagnosed with TLE, confirmed by EEG and MRI findings of Mesial Temporal Sclerosis and Hippocampal Atrophy. 40+ years of undiagnosed (until Dec '26) right sided focal and partial aware seizures.
All this was finally realized and put together and am now getting good care, neurologist, neuropsychological testing, etc.
Diagnosis of Temporal Lobe Epilepsy has been confirmed by 4 Neurologists (yes, I was looking for someone to tell me it was not true!)
I'm having a hard time accepting that I "have epilepsy" because I have never had a Generalized Tonic Clonic Seizure.
Anyone else with non-TC experience feel the same way?
