Help me Terrarian, Im stuck!

I cannot join my friends on multiplayer, everytime I try, It says syncing mods until the connection fails. Please let me play and beat calamity, all I ask for is some help. Best of luck and hopefully you guys can help me! I know game help posts are supposedly banned but I genuinely have nowhere else to turn.
