People who refuse to text you via your phone number and have to do so via social media DMs

My notifications on Instagram and Facebook have almost always been disabled because they blow up my phone with useless garbage. I tell people this all the time, that my notifications are off, so if it's something important they should text me on my phone number, but some people, no matter how many times I say this, insist on sending me important questions or messages on apps I don't get notifications from, then act shocked when I don't respond!! It's extremely childish in my opinion to have your sole form of communication restricted to social media and refuse to actually call/text people.
