My Situation so Far with Herpes 2

I (29M) got a lab test result back a month ago stating that I had strong antibodies for HSV-2. I was so surprised. I had never had symptoms or noticed any kind of painful blisters on my genital area at all. Although from time to time I do get a scab on my shaft area but I’m almost positive it’s from dry masturbation. I’ve unfortunately looked at horrible pictures online and am almost positive it’s not herpes.

For the most part of two weeks I was very sad and noticed almost every single micro movement or itch I had in that area for obvious reasons since the test but I have continued living normally (aside from some unrelated stomach issues I’ve been having).

I wanted to post on here and figure out if anybody else has had similar experiences. I’ve probably had it for a long time since my test was strong (8.0). I don’t think I’ll never get symptoms because that’s what I hope for, but I got the medication just in case. Anybody feel like they are a carrier for the virus but aren’t experiencing symptoms? I read somewhere it’s like 2/3 people will be like this.
