Can’t change visa application country from UAE to Qatar

Hey guys, I’m dealing with a visa scheduling issue and hoping someone here has been through this.

Last year I applied for a B2 visa from Dubai, so my profile on the US visa scheduling site is set to UAE. Now I’m living in Doha and applying for a J1 visa, but I can’t change the country from UAE to Qatar in the system.

I tried contacting the US Embassy in UAE and they said visa services are temporarily suspended, and they don’t know when it will reopen.

Has anyone had a similar issue? How did you change your country in the system? Also, is there any emergency contact (email or phone) for visa processing that actually works?
