Question about the bin mod for ABS?

Can you get away with PLA? I don't have a lot of PETG, well other then the 250g spools but then it be two different colors I think? I don't have a close enough IKEA so I think its gonna be Walmart but all the maker world files I found for those bins are using half a spool of filament to hold it and that's fine I sure as hell have the PLA but also, I want it to be one color, I've seen some PLA some PETG profiles and for different bins so idk?
