What is going wrong with my Cherokee Purple?

Zone 6a Maryland.

I posted about this lady a few days back… plant had grown into itself. I ended up plucking the early fruit in the bunch and monitoring.

A couple week or so later, what looks like was the main stem is this sad little twig, but maybe I have a new main stem??? (See pics.)
