Hope for false positive
Hey everybody. I’m in a really rough place. I got tested years ago and had what I think was a false positive. Essentially I had a 1.26 IgG and then, because I was freaked out proceeded to get tested again only to find out it was <.90 IgG negative. But I still had it in the back of my head so if I ever had an itch that just didn’t feel right I would get tested again. This yielded 2 more <.90 IgG’s. All of a sudden, 3 months ago, I get tested and I score a 2.10 IgG but get negative on the inhibition assay. I take one more test a week ago and it comes back 1.76 IgG but positive on the inhibition assay. I’m crushed, but confused. No symptoms, no genital to genital contact in the last year but I have done other things with my partner (to include oral stimulation with a condom). For further context my HSV1 score has always been above 50 and almost to 60 at times. Has anyone gone through similar? Does anyone know if high HSV1 can create persistent cross contamination score? I’m scheduled to talk to Terri Warren next week but I’m just so so sad and crushed.
