bf might have an ed
hello. like the title says i’m sometimes thinking that my (24f) bf (20m) has an ed. he’s always been pretty skinny. a few months ago he told me that there was a time period where he thought he was gonna become fat and that everything’s over bc of that. i thought he was naturally skinny til he told me he sometimes forgets to eat the entire day, sometimes a few days in a row. i thought well he probably does forget and ill have to remind him.
recently there was a situation that made me think that he might be hiding an ed or something. like i said, he’s always been skinny. when i met him he’s already been a bit underweight. throughout our relationship he seemed to gain weight and i got excited n told him hes gaining weight and how much i liked that n that i finally had something to grab.
like 2 months later he told me that he met his step dad for the first time in a while n he told him he got a lot skinnier. i didn’t notice so i just said really? i don’t think i see it
like 2 or 3 weeks after that i did notice that his face looked slimmer and he started to have bad dark circles again. he was at my place n told me he thinks his step dad was right, asked me if im sure he didn’t lose weight. i said idk cuz i see him too often to notice changes as easily. he then took his shirt of and started posing in ways that showed off his rib cage, his hip bones, his chest bones etc. overall he looked very boney and i didnt notice how much hes lost until then because he was very skinny already. he went from skinny to boney. while showing his upper body he asked me if im sure he didn’t get skinnier. he didn’t rlly look concerned or worried, more like he was trying to get some approval or validation.
i’m not sure what to think. i did ask him if he’s got an ed quite at the beginning of our relationship but he said he genuinely forgets to eat or has no appetite.
after the way he acted recently i’m just even more concerned abt his health. what can i do? am i reading too much into his behavior? his eating habits still aren’t healthy though. i want to help him but idk how
