Breaking up for 2nd time in month

My boyfriend broke up with because I asked if we could wait to have sex until we are married. We have been dating for some time and grew close to each other very quickly. Due to my relationship with him I've grown apart from my family since they do not approve. I am 21 F and he's 43M despite the age difference he's a good man to me he's never been violent and is always kind. But my parents disagree because of the age. I've got kicked out of my home because I chose to stay with him. And for the last 2 weeks he's constantly reminding me that I don't care about him or that I'm not doing enough in our relationship. But besides all that we worked through it.
Today I asked if we should stop having sex until we are married. We talk about getting married all the time rather than wasting time we know what we want and want to execute it right away we talk about having kids together and moving out to a little place in the suburbs and all do that. But today this question upset him and he says l've never had a woman say this to me I feel like you're not attracted to me anymore I shut it down immediately and said I am deeply attracted to you. I just want God to bless this relationship since all odds are against us. He didn't like this answer and demanded that we break up. What am I doing wrong? I feel like he hasn't wanted to be with me for a while perhaps because he's never treated or talked to me this way.
