Are there many girls who prefer being dominant instead of submissive? [F]

I’m turning 20 and I’m starting to realize I like being in control in bed way more than I ever thought I would.

Not the super hardcore stuff. Just playful dominance. Telling a guy what to do, teasing him, watching him get nervous and turned on when I take charge. I didn’t always know this about myself, but the more I think about it the more it makes sense.

My last boyfriend was nice. He was the type who wanted to be in control all the time. At first it was fine but after a while it got boring. One night I told him I wanted to try something different. I made him lay back, I climbed on top, and I started giving him directions. Nothing crazy, just “slow down,” “use your tongue here,” “don’t move until I say so.” I was teasing him, praising him when he did what I wanted, and I loved seeing him get flushed and shaky.

He tried to go along with it but I could tell he was uncomfortable. He kept laughing it off like it was a joke and then later he said it made him feel weird. Like less of a man or something. That kind of hurt because I wasn’t trying to emasculate him. I just liked the feeling of control and seeing him react to me being confident.

Since we broke up I’ve been thinking about it a lot. Most of my friends talk about wanting guys who are dominant and take charge. I’ve tried that and it’s okay sometimes, but it doesn’t get me excited the same way. I get way more turned on when I’m the one leading.

Has anyone else gone through this? Do a lot of girls actually prefer being dominant? And for the guys reading this, does it turn you on when a girl takes charge or does it make you feel uncomfortable? Be honest.
