Research Initiative: Participation & Feedback Wanted
I’m looking for writing samples and participants for an independent project exploring writing, authorship, and AI.
Over the past few weeks I’ve been building IFWAI.org (Institute for Writing & AI), a research and discussion platform focused on questions such as:
- What counts as writing?
- How do people judge AI-assisted work?
- Does knowing how a piece was produced change how we evaluate it?
- What does that reveal about perception, authorship, and creative legitimacy?
- What actually determines authorship?
The site currently contains several public studies, discussion sessions, and surveys. It’s still in an early stage, and I’m looking for:
- Writers willing to submit writing samples
- Readers willing to participate in short studies
- People with strong opinions about AI and writing
- People who are simply curious about the topic
Writing samples can be human-written, AI-assisted, AI-generated, or produced through any other workflow. Even unfinished fragments, experiments, or discarded excerpts can be useful.
Participation is free.
There is an FAQ explaining how submissions and responses are handled, and the project is being built publicly and refined over time.
If any of this sounds interesting, I’d appreciate your participation, feedback, criticism, or ideas.
Feel free to comment below or send me a DM.
Thanks.
