LTL driver looking for advice

I'm going to be traveling to Charleston, SC for the week to help out their P&D drivers for the week. I've never been there. So I don't know shortcuts, where trucks are allowed, and more than likely will be using a lift gate. I'll solely be relying on my GPS on my work hand held which terrifies me.

Is there any drivers that work the area that could give me some helpful advice? Anything would help. No matter how small it would be. Thanks!
