AITAH? My partner gets upset if I don’t message them when I’m out with friends?

F29 I’m not sure if I’m the problem or not? My partner gets very upset when I don’t message that I’m home if I’m out with friends. This could even be if we are at a house or at my house. To be clear my partner has my location and I always communicate what the day/evening/plans in general are. I am not on my phone ever when I’m with friends. I try to be very present. I do set alarms to remind myself to check in but sometimes forget and the safe guard to check in fails. When this happens a fight entails. I always text in the morning to check in and at most they don’t hear from me for 10 hours. I guess what I’m asking is am I the problem or is this a little over bearing when my partner already has my location?
