Google App Share Button Works Only Once..HELP Please

This just started a few days ago randomly and I can't figure out how to fix it., When I use the Google app for my Iphone and click on the share button to share a link it works fine...once.

After that I hit the share button and nothing happens. If I close the app and open it again it works again...once.

I've tried clearing the cache, rebooting the iphone, uninstalling and reinstalling the google app. Yes I'm running the latest IOS.

I tried Siri settings. I have no idea what to do, and it's incredibly annoying because for me to share a link I have to click on the link, open it, and copy and paste the url, which takes about 3x as long as just hitting the share button, which should work EVERY time, not once.

If it didn't work at all that would drive me less crazy. But why does it work only once?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I don't see that anyone else had this exact problem.
