Kryven Legacy - I organized all my documents in Kryven Vault, then realized my family still wouldn't know where to start if something happened to me

Kryven Legacy

After I set up Vault and shared documents with my spouse, I felt organized. But then I asked myself a harder question: if something happened to me tomorrow, would my family actually know what to do?

Not just "where's the insurance card" β€” but:

  • What bank accounts exist that aren't joint?
  • Where's the life insurance policy and who's the beneficiary?
  • Who's our estate attorney?
  • What debts are outstanding?
  • Where's the safe deposit box key?
  • What subscriptions are still charging?

My spouse knew some of it. But not all of it. And my kids knew almost none of it.

Vault stores documents. But it doesn't tell your family what exists, where to look, or who to call. That's a different problem β€” and it's the problem Kryven Legacy solves.

Legacy is a roadmap, not a vault.

It doesn't store the actual documents. It maps what exists, where it is, and who to contact. Think of it as the guide your family opens first β€” before they go looking through Vault, before they call the attorney, before they start guessing.

How the three apps work together:

  • πŸ”‘ Apple Passwords β†’ logins (who you are online)
  • πŸ”’ Kryven Vault β†’ documents (IDs, insurance, cards, warranties)
  • πŸ—ΊοΈ Kryven Legacy β†’ the roadmap that tells your family what exists and where to find it

Over the next posts (filter by πŸ—ΊοΈ Kryven Legacy flair), I'll walk through the features I lean on and each category β€” and show exactly how I filled mine out. I'll start with the feature that got me off the blank screen: Finish Setup.
