Is it rude to stop into a bridal shop to look at/maybe try on a dress knowing I'm not going to buy?
TLDR: The above question
Further context:
My partner and I are definitely in that space in our relationship where we know we want to get married, and I know there's a proposal coming at some point; I just don't know when. I'm working out of state and away from them for a couple months this summer (sad) and while I was exploring the city I'm in for work I found an off the rack bridal shop that looked really interesting. I didn't go in because I figured they wouldn't appreciate me bringing a full cup of coffee into their store full of white dresses, but I was looking at their website when they got home and found out they cater to plus sizes as well, something that, to my knowledge, no bridal shop in my actual home area does.
I don't want to waste their time 99% knowing I'm not going to purchase anything, but I really want to look at and try on a dress or two knowing this is on the horizon for me and plus size friendly bridal shops are harder to find. Would it be rude? I have no idea what my taste in wedding dresses even is really so I want to explore.
Please be kind. I'm simply trying to feel out the courteous and kins thing to do, especially because it's a small business it seems.
